Andrew and Bliss arrived at the hospital for inducement around 9:30am CST on Wednesday, September 10th. The hospital staff was very friendly, and they prepared our room and supplies very quickly. Bliss' water broke around 10am, and we were on our way to welcoming Jacey!
Events really began to accelerate around 6pm, and we welcomed Jacey Lee Davis into the world at 6:44pm! It was a special time for Bliss and Andrew, and Jacey was immediatly placed on Bliss' chest!
After a special bonding time between Mom, Dad, and Baby, they took Jacey to the scales to get her weight. She must have made good use of that extra week in the womb, because Jacey tipped the scales at 9 pounds 2 ounces...22.5" in length!
While the medical staff attended to Bliss, Andrew and Jacey had a little time to get acquainted. She is so beautiful!
After Mom and Baby were cleaned, we headed to the Mother-Baby room so everyone could be more comfortable.
While Bliss got some much needed rest, I headed with Jacey to her first bath. The nurses took her footprints, as well as washed her body and hair...
...all that hair!

At the end of the process, Jacey looked so sweet with her clean hair and pretty new bow!

Congratulations on that big girl! I can't believe she can already wear a bow!!!!! How cute! So glad to hear that you are all doing great. What a doll and how fun she is going to be to dress and to love. She is going to bring you so much joy!
